New Jersey Dog & People Photography | Fall Foliage In Princeton University
An early fall session with the beautiful white Swiss shepherd Youyou and her mother in Princeton University. This year, the fall comes very late – almost 2 weeks later than last year. Luckily, we still found few trees that were on their peak time. The colors were so beautiful in the cloudy afternoon, with the white outfit matching the dog’s color. Notice that her leash is also white.
Youyou’s mom has an excellent sense of fashion. When she sent me her outfits, I was obsessed with every outfit that she sent. So I just told her “you can make the decision by yourself”. So the photos turned out beautifully, with her white dress and her white dog.
This is my second time shooting with Youyou. I did a dog portrait session with her when she was 6 months old. She was very well-trained and stayed & waited to let me take her portraits, which is very rare for a puppy. Her personality is very distinguished from my own dog Mochi. She’s a little bit shy, especially when she was with strangers. Since she’s so pretty, during the session there were two woman watching us and asked to take a photo with Youyou. Of course we said yes, but Youyou was too shy to be handled completely by strangers. She kept coming back to her mom and refusing to stay by the stranger’s side. So eventually, they didn’t get a photo with her.
